Welcome to the Little Ghosts and Goblins Page!

Happy Halloween to all of you. I hope you like this page. Come on in and have some fun. First, why don't you take our mini poll?

******************************

Are you planning a Halloween Party? If so, don't forget to give out goodie bags to all of your guests.

Here is how:

Use clear Cellophane bags. These can have Halloween print on them, but do not have to.  Fill each bag with candies, toys or other goodies, then wrap each bag with ribbon or raffia, adding a homemade tag and a piece of tulle netting filled with candy corn.

What are you going to be for Halloween? Dressing up is always a big part of the fun. I know of a lot of great costumes. Here are some of them:

a knight

a king

a queen

a princess

a prince

a man (if you are a girl)

a girl (if you are a boy)

a squirrel

a unicorn

a witch

a vampyre

Dorothy (if you have a dog, he can be Toto)

a gypsy

a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

a mummy

a ghost

***TIP:  If your Trick-or-Treat bag always gets a hole in it, or the handle breaks, have Mom or Dad bring along a sturdy plastic grocery bag. Empty your bag or bucket of candy into the grocery bag every once in a while.

* Write G H O S T on a piece of paper. Now see haw many words you can make out of those letters.

Here are some important things to remember this Halloween:

1. Only Trick-or-Treat in well lit areas.

2. Stay with Mom or Dad, or who ever you go out with.

3. Don't eat any candy until Mom or Dad check it.

4. Never go into a strangers house alone.

5. Watch for cars, look both ways before crossing the street.

6. Wear some sort of reflector on the front and back of your costume.

7. You may want to carry a flashlight.

8. Masks are not as safe as facial paint. They can shift so you can't see very well.

9. Make sure that your costume is not so long that it touches the ground, and gets in the way of your feet.

* Write  H A L L O W E E N on a piece of paper. How many words can you make out of these letters?

* Write all of the Halloween words that you know on a piece of paper.

Here are some fun things to do during the month of October:

1.  Go to a haunted house.

2.  Go to a halloween party.

3.  Rake the leaves into a big pile. Jump into the pile of leaves.

4.  When you are done jumping in the leaves, make a scarecrow with them. Put a pumkin on top for a head.

5.  Carve Jack-o'-Lanterns with Mom or Dad, or paint scary faces on the pumpkins.

6.  Have Mom or Dad roast the pumpkin seeds from your carved pumpkin. Some people like them with salt or Worchestershire sauce. How do you like them?

7.  Ask your parents to buy a folder (with prongs) and some plain white paper, to fit into the folder. A three-hole punch will also come in handy. Punch holes in the paper. On one side of each piece of paper, draw different pictures. For example:

you and your family in Halloween costumes

a witch

a cat

a vampyre

a ghost

a bat

a haunted house

a haunted grave yard

a scarecrow

a pumpkin

the moon

Put them all into your folder. You have made your very own coloring book! You can even write words on each page to make a story.

8.  If you would like to add other things to your coloring book, or you would rather make a different kind of book, you can also do these:

write a Halloween story

write a fill-in-the-blanks story

write a Halloween poem

write a Halloween song

Make a Halloween word find

Make a Halloween crossword puzzle.

If you can think of any other things to put into the book, please sign my guestbook on the first page. Put kids page, for the book, and your idea in the comments section of the guest book. I will add them to this page. Thank you.

9.  Make cupcakes with Mom or Dad. Color the frosting dark red, green or orange.

10.  Tell ghost stories in the dark, with the only light coming from a flashlight.

11. Help Mom or Dad bake halloween cookies, and give them to people. (contributed by Isaiah)

* Write V A M P I R E on a piece of paper. Now see how many words you can make from those letters.

Some great Halloween songs:

1. Monster Mash

2. Ghost Busters

3. The Adams Family theme song

4. The Munsters theme song

5. The Scooby Doo theme song

If you can think of any more Halloween ideas, please post them in the right place in my forum, and let me know if it is okay to put them on this page with your name. Thank you. http://pub12.bravenet.com/forum/971696293

***TIP: I bet Mom or Dad would love to watch some Halloween shows with you some time. All you have to do is ask. Disney even has some good Halloween movies.

Have a happy and safe Halloween!
